A stack trace on the PC. A note on the Mac. Sometimes the interruption is simply getting a small piece of information to the computer where you need it.
SwarmSpan connects your own trusted Windows PCs and Macs over the local network. Start with one small handoff so you can check that the connection helps with your actual work.
Try a harmless clipboard item first
Install SwarmSpan on both computers using the platform links on the SwarmSpan page. Keep both computers awake and on the same local network. Follow the pairing flow in the apps; pairing establishes trust between those devices.
Copy a short, non-sensitive line on one computer, then try pasting it into a blank note on the other. Repeat in the opposite direction. Use sample text rather than a password, customer record, or private message.
If the handoff doesn't work, check the apps' connection information before repeating it. A device being discoverable isn't the same as a working trusted connection.
Move one sample file next
Choose a disposable text file and use SwarmSpan's file handoff. Check the destination and read the receiver's prompt. Accept only the transfer you intended, then open the received file to confirm its contents. Keep shared folders limited to files you're comfortable making available to your paired devices.
Agent handoff is a separate, optional workflow. Get the everyday clipboard and file handoffs working before configuring it.
Windows licensing and the Mac App Store purchase are separate. Check current pricing before buying.
