Press information: Talavine keeps your data hub while your choice of AI changes

October 2026 product information, free-preview availability, privacy boundaries and hands-on review materials for Talavine.

For immediate release — October 8, 2026. This describes the available public preview; it is not an announcement of a new release today.

Talavine is a personal and business data hub for Windows and Apple Silicon Mac. It brings chosen information from supported email accounts, documents, notes, calendars and selected imported history together on the user's computer. Users can ask across relevant records, inspect the sources behind material answers and change supported AI models while keeping their saved Talavine information.

A useful briefing may depend on an email with the original quote, a later correction and a meeting note that changes what happens next. Talavine's approach is to keep those records in a user-owned hub that can support different AI choices. Source coverage, freshness and the chosen model still affect the answer.

Availability and price

The desktop app is free during the public preview. Future pricing may differ. Current desktop platforms are Windows and Apple Silicon Mac; Intel Mac and Linux builds are not offered.

Local storage and AI processing are separate choices

Talavine keeps the profile database on the user's computer. That does not mean nothing ever leaves the machine: connected services synchronize authorized information, and enabled cloud AI may receive relevant information during processing and answering. Model access, provider fees, account permissions and hardware requirements are separate from the desktop preview.

Changing supported models retains saved information in Talavine. Different models can give different answers. Exports support their documented formats; Talavine does not promise universal transfer of another chatbot's internal memory.

A practical review

Use a demo or test profile, connect a supported source and ask a question whose answer can be checked against the original record. Open the citation and compare the answer with the source. Add or include a later correction and inspect whether the response reflects it. Then choose another configured model, confirm the saved records remain available and compare the answers.

This is a suggested acceptance exercise, not a claim that every model always finds every update or that every answer is correct.

Scott Crossen makes Talavine and SwarmSpan. SwarmSpan is a separate Mac/Windows clipboard and file-sharing utility. Talavine CRM and Vibes are separate products with explicitly supported connections.
