Terms for using Talavine

The hosted CRM has its own terms

These terms cover the free Talavine desktop app, SwarmSpan, this website, the community board, and the installers. The hosted Talavine CRM service is a separate product with its own agreement covering tenant data ownership, termination, and — once paid plans begin — subscription billing, auto-renewal, and suspension for non-payment. The hosted CRM is currently free to try, with no card collected. If you sign up for it, read the CRM Service Terms and the Refund and Cancellation Policy — those govern that service, and these terms do not. What everything costs today is on the pricing page.

SwarmSpan licenses

SwarmSpan is a paid app, sold by SwarmMarshal LLC. A SwarmSpan license costs a one-time $4.99 and covers every Windows PC and Mac you own; there is no subscription and no account. You buy it at talavine.com/swarmspan, including when you installed SwarmSpan from the Microsoft Store; payment is processed by Stripe, and Microsoft does not handle it. The Mac App Store edition is sold by Apple instead: Apple's terms govern that purchase and its refunds, and it needs no license key.

How the license key works. After payment we issue a license key made out to the email address you used at checkout. It is shown on the confirmation page and emailed to that address. The key is digitally signed by us; SwarmSpan checks the signature on your computer, so activation works offline and SwarmSpan does not contact our servers to check it again. Activate by clicking the link in the email or pasting the key into SwarmSpan. Use the same key on each computer you own. If you lose it, request it again and we email every key bought with that address, only to that address. Keep your key private: it is a license for your own computers, not for sharing, publishing, or reselling.

Installs from before licensing. SwarmSpan copies that were already set up on a computer before SwarmSpan required a license keep working on that computer at no charge.

Refunds. Email support@swarmmarshal.com about a purchase or a refund. A refunded license is no longer valid, and we will not resend its key.

Preview software

Talavine may be offered as preview, beta, or early access software. Preview builds can contain bugs, incomplete features, changing behavior, and service interruptions. Users should keep backups of important data and review agent output before relying on it.

User responsibility

Users are responsible for the accounts, model providers, connectors, tools, automations, and data they configure. Agents can draft, summarize, classify, and propose actions, but users remain responsible for approvals, messages sent, settings changed, files touched, and connected services used.

Acceptable use

Users may not use Talavine to break the law, violate third-party rights, abuse connected services, send spam, bypass security controls, harvest data without permission, or post abusive, deceptive, or harmful content to the community board.

Connected services

Talavine can connect to email, calendar, chat, model, MCP, and other third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and may change, rate-limit, reject, or revoke access at any time. Talavine is not responsible for third-party service behavior.

AI output

AI-generated output can be wrong, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for a particular use. Users should verify important facts, decisions, commitments, legal issues, financial issues, medical issues, security changes, and customer-facing messages before acting on them.

Community content

Users who post to the community board grant Talavine permission to host, display, moderate, and remove that content as needed to operate the site. We may reject or remove posts that appear abusive, spammy, unlawful, misleading, or unrelated to Talavine.

Updates and availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, previews, downloads, website pages, or community tools. Release manifests, installers, and update notices are provided to help users stay current, but users should verify that downloads come from official Talavine channels.

No warranty

Talavine is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free output, compatibility with every service, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talavine will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, service interruption, or third-party account issues.
